About the Event

This online storytelling event is designed to examine and articulate the phenomenon of home. It is through the power of stories that we can highlight pain, belonging, and create spaces for memories to emerge out of our hearts like loud harvest songs.

Join us as Dr. Asaad-Taffal and Dima Sairafi share stories of re-visiting home as part of the Master’s Program in Migration and Refugee Studies at An-Najah National University in Palestine while Izzeddin Hawamda, storyteller, poet, and co-founder of Bridge provides reflections on the power of story, narrative, and connection. Engage with the storytellers during a live Q&A session, providing the opportunity to ask questions and collaboratively explore the discussed themes.

Highlights include intimate narratives from residents of Nablus, exploring what home means to them in the context of their unique experiences, cultural heritage, and socio-political landscape while connecting with a global audience who share interests in storytelling, cultural exchange, and the Palestinian experience.
